adidas Brings back the Trefoil

Many years ago adidas transitioned from using the Trefoil logo to the sportier three stripes logo when it came to performance product. The Trefoil was used almost primarily with adidas Originals through the lens of more streetwear and fahion forward product. There was a clear delineation between sport and style. I always thought this was a miss given the long history of the Trefoil adorning some great adidas jerseys through the years.

adidas Brings Back the Trefoil

Well...as part of adidas's 75 years celebrations, they have brought back the Trefoil with a kiss of style on a handful of 3rd kits of some of adidas' biggest global clubs.

Let's hope we see some more of the Trefoil featured on soccer jerseys going forward. It's nice reminder of the history of the brand within the sport, and a further celebration of the intersection of football and fashion.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus all have a 3rd kit that not only features the Trfefoil but also continues to blend sport and style.
