With the 2018 MLS season around the corner, we are starting to see the jerseys that teams will be wearing in the upcoming season. Columbus Crew just unveiled their secondary jersey, and it is a really good looking jersey.
The jersey features in black with a few key details. There is a henley style collar with one button (which we're big fans of around here) and tonal black checkers - which we have some experience with. Three tonal stripes run the length of both sides of the shirt.
The team crest, adidas branding and MLS badges all feature in the Crew's primary gold color. In addition, the jersey features a jock tag designating “Charter Member #01” that rests on the front of the jersey in recognition of being the first MLS club charter awarded. There is also a heritage shield commemorating the club’s initial MLS season in 1996 is affixed to the back just above the player names.
Overall this is a great jersey on offer from Columbus. Looking forward to seeing them take the field in this jersey in the 2018 MLS season.
