PUMA has unveiled their latest football boot silhouette and they are calling them simply - FUTURE. These are the first boots that offer a truly customizable fit. These boots feature something called NETFFIT technology which allows the wearer to lace the boots however they want in order for the boots to fit perfectly. This can be achieved regardless of foot shape or lock-down need.
NETFIT was initially designed for running, but PUMA has teen the technology to new layers by applying it to the upper creating a boot that is aggressive in aesthetics, unique in its appearance and gives a customizable fit.
The lacing system is there to be experimented with, to adapt to your fit specifications, regardless of foot shape, and give you the ultimate lock-down experience. With its infinite customization options, NETFIT allows for the ultimate on pitch expression, allowing players to stand out with their own lacing styles.
To further enhance the overall fit and feel of the boots the NETFIT upper has been fused to the evoKNIT sock and striking zones to create one form-fitting textile base layer, bringing the wearer a snug-fit whilst making sure the foot is closer to the ball on impact for that perfect touch. The evoKNIT sock has also been developed and has a much more dynamic and aggressive cut than past models before it. The sock has been designed to be non-restrictive and allow for limitless agility thanks to its specifically placed cuts, whilst the material itself offers supreme support and comfort throughout the game.
I haven't seen these boots in person and haven't tested them yet, but I commend PUMA for going down this path of customizable boots. I believe that boots that can be customizable for individuals is part of what the future of soccer boots will look like. We all have different foot shape, we have different needs and demands as players and we all want boots that fit us perfectly. Creating boots that help achieve that customization element is a huge step forward.
